There's a newish pop song out. The chorus
goes: 'If you look into my eyes .. Can't
you see that I'm happy now' - or something.

I keep catching the last minute of it
whenever I'm bothering the local Kwik Save
with my jangly pockets of student coppers.

Female singer. It's one of those Lavinge
type contraptions, but who is it?

Not a quiz.

Cheers,
D.

Like I said, man, I have no idea. But you're
on the right tracks.

The chorus is stalking me. I think it was top10
in this country, but I'm out of the scene, if
you know what I mean. Top of the Pops is the
devil's work.

Sounds like it could also be Michelle Branch. Here's the chorus of "are you happy now?"

(chorus)
could you look me in the eye
and tell me that you're happy now oooooh
would you tell it to my face or have i been erased
are you happy now?
are you happy now?

It's hard to imagine how many of these starlets
would exist without Morrisette's 'You Oughta
Know', but the winner is... Branch!

Thank you my trusty spies!

Yeah the young folks think they know it all.

Am glad you found the song. Personally, I'll get a chorus bouncing in my head and spend a day trying to figure out who it is. Then, I'll forget what the chorus was that was bouncing, and spend a day trying to figure that out. Vicious cycle, that one is.

I can't explain that one, mate. Maybe
something to do with regressive amnesia
or something.

'Are You Happy Now?' is good video. Lots
of lovely After Effects. Check it out.

Rather than waste a new thread for this...

I've FTP'ed clips of some demos recorded in
Italy and Bristol but, according to this
server at least, something's amiss. Do us a
favour chaps and click one to see what happens.

For what it's worth, 'Our Time' is slightly
- (ripped - cough! - off - cough!) -
derived from F1-11 Love Missile, and 'Blue
Sky' is - for now - a piano ballad. The Perfect
Disease stuff is its usual mournful self.
